Welcome to the blog.
This has been a very long journey for Tomas Haran Photography. In 2012 the business was started mostly to do portraits and weddings. I was learning a lot then about gear, composition and how to work in a fast paced environment such as weddings and events. I met some really nice people along the way who helped encourage me to pursue photography further. I continued doing weddings on my own as well as with assistance and had a wonderful time doing so. As I continued to grow in my photography I found myself all over New England doing weddings and working with other photographers. Although I don't do weddings anymore, (they are super fun but exhausting), I give credit to all wedding photographers out there.
I now focus on personal projects and portraits. I enjoy getting to know my client and having a relaxed photo session with almost no time limits. Engagement sessions are a blast too making sure to capture the love between two individuals. Family sessions are great too as they help document different stages of the family. It's really wonderful getting to know people, and their interests and their goals.
Another reason for my shift to portraits is having my son in 2019. Easily the greatest blessing and miracle in my life. Getting to see him arrive and to watch him grow has just been amazing. Thanks to cameras on our phones I have a ton of him to complement the many photos I've taken with my professional gear. And that won't stop anytime soon.
So as you can see I can ramble on and on about things, but I'm excited to be back. I did take a long break during the first part of the pandemic to get many things figured out, but as that starts to slow down I'm excited to get back to it.
