As I mentioned in an earlier post I took almost a year off from photographing in digital. I sold all my digital gear (really wish I hadn't) and went towards film. I have other reasons as well which I'll discuss in another post, but I'm really happy that I tried film. It really changed my perspective on things and helped me to focus on the scene in front of me and to forget about the apparatus I was using.
Now that I'm back with FUJI (I did try Nikon briefly, but I'm 100% on the Fuji team, it just suits me so well) and I'm really happy to continue my journey. The 35mm 1.4 lens is one of their earliest lenses if not the first, but is still regarded as one of their most sharp and versatile lenses. I'm most comfortable with a 50mm perspective and that is essentially what you get with this lens. For now it really is all I need as it will give me so much versatility.
My last post had photos in ACROS, but I did want to share one photo in color. It is of my son watching his morning cartoons. Usually we have some oatmeal together and then he sits with me to watch some cartoons. This is a simple photo but I'm really pleased with the lens sharpness, detail and lighting of the scene. That 35mm lens is just special.
As always my son makes such a wonderful and handsome model. But, I might be biased.
