I knew I still had some frames left on my Leica so I wanted to head out somewhere. When I had gone to Moore State Park last I did not have my film camera with me so I decided go again, this time with my trusty camera to see how things would turn out. I didn't take many photos, but I'm pleased with the film rendition. In fact, I prefer the look of these photos more. Somehow film captures those mid tones so well and doesn't crush the blacks too much. I was using Ilford HP5 again, so of course that has something to do with it and the way the Voigtlander lens renders contrast etc.
With my Fuji camera I'm basically looking at a screen which shows me the exposure and it will jump around depending on what its looking at. The M3 "screen" never changes much like all DSLRs so you don't have visual distractions. In any case its just a different tool. In the future I'd like to take some similar photos on both digital and film, just to compare a little and to see why I prefer the film look more.
That's enough on that though.
Hope you enjoy the photos.
